Welcome to the Wellington Playcentre Association

Playcentre is about fun, quality early childhood education, and learning alongside our children. We believe that parents / whanau are the first and best educators of their children!

The 21 Playcentres in the Wellington region are run as co-operatives by local parents / whanau, making for a very supportive community.

With mixed age play sessions (birth – school age), learning through child-initiated play and free adult education programmes there are benefits for both children and adults alike.

Our centres are licensed, follow Te Whariki (the Ministry of Education Early Childhood Curriculum) and we actively embrace our New Zealand heritage.

We invite you to come and visit your local centre,  come to one of our upcoming events, or see our latest Wellington Playcentre Association newsletter 'Ka Pai' - for Centre and Association happenings, tips and fun!
